A total of 3,113 students received their diplomas at the Undergraduate Student Commencement Ceremony held in the Gymnasium of Tsinghua on July 11.

President of Tsinghua and Chairman of the Degree Conferral Committee Gu Binglin, Chen Xi, Chairman of the University Council, as well as other main leaders of the university attended the ceremony and awarded graduate certificates to the students. 

In his address to the ceremony, President Gu extended congratulations to the students. He made three suggestions for them. He urged them to be patriotic and love their country. Then he encouraged them to pursue excellence and strive for innovation. Finally, he advised them to love life, be healthy, and maintain a positive attitude.
