Dr. William M. W. Mong, Chairman of Hong Kong’s Shun Hing Group, was awarded on June 15 an Honorary Doctorate by Tsinghua University President Gu Binglin. The award ceremony was held in Tsinghua’s Main Building. Tsinghua Vice President Chen Jining hosted the ceremony.

After the ceremony, Dr. William Mong delivered a speech about “Success and Failure.” In his speech, Dr. Mong shared his experiences about success. He encouraged the students, “Never, Never, Never give up!” when facing difficulties. Dr. Mong answered several students’ questions after the speech. Professor Rao Zihe, President of Nankai University and Professor Chen Wenshen, Vice President of Peking University, also attended the ceremony.

Mr. Lv Siqing, a famous violinist, later performed a memorable violin solo to celebrate Dr. Mong’s honorary doctorate.
