Tsinghua Research Achievements Win 16 State Science and Technology Awards
Sixteen Tsinghua research achievements recently were recognized at the 2014 State Science and Technology Awards. Tsinghua professors accepted the awards on January 9 at the annual National Science-Technology Award Ceremony in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Of Tsinghua’s 16 awards, five were State Natural Science Awards, three were State Technological Invention Awards, and eight were State Scientific and Technological Progress Awards. Altogether seven research achievements were completed by Tsinghua as the lead research institution in collaboration with others.
The research on Research on network computing paradigms and their fundamental theories won the State Natural Science Award first prize.
By the end of 2014, Tsinghua had won a total of 487 National Science and Technology Awards, including one State Top Scientific and Technological Award, 62 National Natural Science Awards, 139 National Technological Invention Awards, and 285 National Scientific and Technological Progress Awards.
