Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa visits Tsinghua
On Oct.8th, Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa paid a visit to Tsinghua University and delivered a speech entitled “The Portuguese Language as a Multi-continental Space for Political Cooperation and Economic Prosperity” in the Tsinghua Global Vision Lectures Series.
Tsinghua University President Qiu Yong had a discussion with Prime Minister Costa prior to the speech, hosted by Tsinghua Vice President Shi Yigong.
In his speech, Prime Minister Costa said that the exchanges between Portugal and China have a long history. He would make efforts with China to push the friendly relationship between the two countries to a new level.
Prime Minister Costa answered several questions from the students after his speech.
Antonio Costa took up the post of Prime Minister of Portugal in November, 2015.
