Yu Gang, Dean of SOE, Tsinghua University, won the award of “7th Distinguished Teacher of Beijing Universities”. Based on the “List of the ‘7th Distinguished Teacher of Beijing Universities’ Award Announcement issued by Beijing Educational Commission” (Beijing Educational Commission [2011] No.386), 105 teachers were awarded the title. Among them there are also some other teachers from Tsinghua University, whose names are, Qin Zheng from the School of Software, Yin Yajun from the School of Aerospace, Xia Qunsheng from the Department of Automotive Engineering, Xin kegui from the Department of Civil Engineering, and Lei Jiasu from the School of Economics and Management.

    Since the selection of Distinguished Teacher of Beijing Universities Awards began in 2003, 59 teachers from Tsinghua University have been awarded the title. The total number ranks it first place of all the universities in Beijing.
