Library

Tsinghua University Library was born at the founding moment of Tsinghua University. Its predecessor “Tsinghua School Reading Room” set up in 1912. After more than 110 years of development, Tsinghua University Library has formed a three-tiered literature service system consisting of the main library (the Old Library, the West Library and the North Library), six subject libraries (Humanities and Social Sciences Library, Law Library, Arts Library, Finance Library, Economics and Management Library, and Architecture Library), and departmental libraries. Currently, the total construction area of the library is more than 80000 square meters, with over 4000 reading seats. The total collection has exceeded 6 million volumes and over 9 million e-books.
